It has been a very busy past few days — I’ve been doing a “Helen””! That’s what my sisters (I have three of them) call that frenzy you once in a great while get into and you deep clean the house! It is named after our Mother — the expert at deep cleaning. You know what it is! Toothbrush in the corners, scrub on your hands and knees, take everything out of the kitchen cupboards and wash them down, polish every cabinet and piece of furniture in the house…. The really hard cleaning, the ache-all-over kind.
But I did find time to work on the “Shadow Rhythm” socks that I’m knitting for my daughter-in-law, Clare. I’ll be turning the heel tomorrow. I love these socks — the yarn is Cascade Yarn’s Heritage Silk Paints (color called Shadow) and the pattern is Rhythm from the book, Knit Socks!
Oh, and the needle!! My favorite sock needle! Knitter’s Pride Karbonz, size 0, 32″ circular.
No cleaning tomorrow — knit group at 10:00 AM and manicure at noon — yahoo!
