Just How Many WIPs….

I’ve been so busy knitting that I haven’t had time to blog! I thought now was a good time to write because it’s a convenient excuse not to get to work on my taxes! I finished two projects lately and it feels soooo good!

On Friday, February 28th at 4:30 PM, I finished my Benedikta sweater in Noro Silk Garden — Just in time to go to the February Sweater Challenge Party at Apple Yarns at 5:00 PM. How to make a sweater in 28 days! Great fun!

Then I finally finished my socks for the Socks with Sarah KAL. Absolutely love this pattern, Hermione’s Everyday Socks, and the yarn, Rowan Fine Art.

I’m casting on another pair of socks for the KAL. I’ll be making Love Socks by Devon Clement in gray with white stripes and a pink heart on the heel flaps. They are adorable!

On April 3rd I’ll be joining Michelle Hunter’s Mystery Shawl KAL (see Ravelry) along with several of my friends in the Thursday Knit Group at Apple Yarns. Michelle designed the shawl for Hikoo’s new yarn, Rylie, a mix of 50% Baby Alpaca, 25% Mulberry Silk, and 25% Linen — It’s luscious! The color I bought is breathtaking, too!

And last, but certainly not least, I’m working on the Couch Potato Blanket for Jerry. I had to frog about 10 rows because I discovered that I had reversed the pattern while watching the movie, “Mists of Avalon.” I had trouble picking up the stitches (mainly because working with 2 strands of yarn) and really made a mess of it. Mona, DeeDee and several others in the Thursday Knit Group gave me some ideas on how to make it better, so now need to frog more!

AND I took my Colorburst Shawl out of hibernation! So here’s what my WIP’s look like now —
