Met the Deadline!

One project met its deadline — the Navy Eagle Spa Cloth!

If you are a regular follower of this blog, you’ll remember that the first one in this pattern was in white and turned out rather well.

But the first spa cloth in the color navy looked like either an alien (according to my sister, Mern!) or Kokopelli without a horn (as seen by my friend, Pat!), not the Navy Anchor it was supposed to be.

Either way it was not suitable to be a gift. So I bought some more yarn and made another Navy Eagle in navy. These spa cloths, along with some Wool Fat Soap from Churchmouse Yarns and Tea, are a thank you gift for my nephew (the Admiral) and his wife! Hope they like it.

      1. Do you have a suggestion for either Canadian or American grown and milled cotton yarn? I like to stay as local as possible.

      2. I’ve only used several from Cascade Yarns and CoBaSi from Scakel(cotton, bamboo, silk). I’ll check with my knit group. Several members are very knowledge about yarns.

  1. Oh, Gretchen, the Navy Eagle Spa Cloths look awesome. What a wonderful gift especially with soap from Churchmouse!
